A perfect harmony of power and elegance, Fidèle is a beautifully balanced organic red from France’s Côtes du Roussillon.
Sourced from wild, mountain-ringed vineyards in the Agly Valley of Roussillon, this small-batch wine is shaped by the rugged foothills of the Pyrenees. 60% Grenache and 40% Carignan, the grapes are hand-harvested from old bush vines planted at altitudes of up to 300 metres. To respect the unique terroir and preserve pure fruit character, the winemakers employ wild fermentation and age the wine entirely in small concrete vats, avoiding any oak contact.
Displaying an intense ruby colour with purple edges, the nose reveals a summery bouquet of ripe blackberries, blackcurrants and fresh violets tangled with sweet spices and herbal garrigue. The velvety texture of the Grenache delivers deep fruit concentration, while the Carignan adds a lively pop of acidity and a pinch of black pepper spice.
An exceptional companion for hearty dishes, it pairs wonderfully with a rustic, slow-cooked Catalan lamb stew.
