Ever since we introduced Sam Neill’s Two Paddocks wines to Ireland 3 years ago, it’s fair to say demand has well and truly outstripped supply.
The Hollywood star’s boutique Central Otago vineyards and winery are just that – small and exquisite! – but ever since receiving Outstanding Gold at the International Wine & Spirit Competition in 2012 demand globally for this small producer has soared.
Playing up on his Irish roots, we’ve sweet-talked Sam into a new allocation to hopefully see us through to Christmas.
At the start of September the new vintages will land. We’ve 2013 Picnic Pinot Noir, 2013 Two Paddocks Pinot Noir, 2014 Picnic Riesling and a ridiculously small allocation of the single vineyardFirst Paddock and Last Chance Pinot Noirs.
On occasion make little movies. We see them as MAXiMOViES™ but in fact they are little, extremely modest microdoodles. They are just tiny things, but we hope you enjoy them.
Our resident Frenchman this year, Jeremie Sery, is also a budding filmmaker. (Jeremie Sery oddly enough translates as Orson Wells in French, by the way — I know, what are the odds?) Jeremy has made a vintage movie of Vintage 2015. He has titled it, obscurely, Vintage 2015.
Filmed in ALL FOUR of our vineyards, it is a something of a miracle. Or miracle as they say in France. Bravo Jeremie! Merci Beaucoup! We love it.”
And so do we…
