We’re always looking at ways to improve your customer experience, constantly challenging ourselves to raise the bar again and again. So with our latest brainstorm, we decided to dedicate an area of the shop exclusively for wine tasting. Introducing the Tasting Table!
Throughout the year we will have wines open on a regular basis for tasting. Friday and Saturdays are a dead cert, but from now until Christmas we promise to have wines open for tasting every day. If you’re driving, we’ll provide spitoons, and if you’re simply underconfident, we’re there to help you with the basic tasting techniques. So you don’t have to be shy!
This weekend we have nine wines open for tasting:
Gassac Classic Blanc 2010 – Fast becoming one of our most popular white wines.
Fairhall Cliffs Sauvignon Blanc 2011 – New vintage just in, and it’s singing!
Chateau Bauduc Sauvignon Blanc 2010 – The flawless house white of Gordon Ramsay.
Gassac Classic Rouge 2010 – International Wine & Spirits Competition 2010 Bronze Medal
Santa Alicia Reserva Malbec 2010 – New vintage on this Chilean red putting Argentinian Malbec in the shadows.
Bleasdale ‘The Broad-side’ Shiraz-Cabernet-Malbec 2009 – Super popular red blend from Langhorne Creek.
Bleasdale ‘The Wise One’ Tawny – Australia’s version of Tawny Port. Fantastic sweet fruitcake richness.
Niepoort Ruby Port – Christmas cake in a bottle. Young, fruity ruby port originating from low yielding old vineyards in the Douro Valley.
Château d’Orignac Pineau des Charentes – A subtle blend of aged cognac and Merlot & Cabernet grapes.
All in good practice for the Christmas Wine Fair on the 2nd and 3rd of December, where we’ll have up to 100 wines open for tasting. In the meantime, feel free to pop in for a taste!
