The home grown superstar in Italy’s Marche region, Verdicchio is treated with a reverence and adulation more normally reserved for movie stars here.
From the Palpacelli family vineyards in Staffolo, grapes are harvested at night, gently pressed and cool fermented in stainless steel tanks, and bottled young after just a few months.
Straw in colour with green tints, this is fresh, floral and bursting with personality, with notes of lime, anise and floral hawthorn. The clay-based soils of the Staffolo region provide a gorgeous minerality and mouthfeel on the palate, dry and fruity with elegant mineral notes on the finish.
Serve up with grilled fish or as a contrast, light, creamy soft cheeses.
