Grand Cru Riesling from the grounds of Château Ollwiller in Wuenheim, one of only two castles in Alsace to produce wine under the name “Château”. The oldest vines here were planted in 1925 with roots penetrating deep into the unique marl-sandstone and limestone-base soils helping produce fine and elegant wines with great ageing potential.
Rich gold in colour with aromas of lemon peel, pear, white flowers and hints of fennel, the palate is elegant and minerally, with a racy acidity that’s kept in check by rich layers of apricot, pineapple, mango and pear, and just a touch of residual sugar for an off-dry finish.
Amazing with salmon or Saint Jacques Tartare, goats cheese or Roquefort.
