Verbos Inventados (“invented verbs” in Spanish) is a blend of local grapes Treixadura, Godello and Loureira, grown on the slopes of the Avia River in the Ribeiro region of Galicia. These three indigenous grapes thrive here, the climate is mild and humid here with less rain than the coastal areas of Galicia.
Pale yellow-straw in colour, the nose is a fresh fruit salad of pear, peach and pineapple, with soft floral notes. Soft and rounded on the palate, there’s a slight richness and weight to the palate that just goes on and on, giving up flavours of pineapple, melon and stone-fruit and finishing with a cleansing twist of lemon.
Delicious on its own or serve with seafood dishes like paella or plain oysters, or roast pork or chicken.
