Like everything else from this heroic family enterprise in Aragon, this great value Garnacha-Tempranillo blend is produced from the family’s organic vineyards in their home town of Lécera. The land is sandy and rich in minerals, with a layer of stones that retain the heat during the summer and help drainage in the winter.
Grapes are harvested and warm-fermented in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks for two weeks, extracting loads of flavour and colour but not over-extracting tannins. The resulting wine is youthful, vibrant and fruity, bright maraschino red with purple edges, and an explosion of red berries and floral aromas on the nose. Warm and juicy, there’s a lovely balance of sweet summer berries and tangy red and black currants, just enough tannins for structure but remaining smooth and easy-drinking.
Serve up with tapas, barbecued meats or mediterranean tomato dishes.
