Tempore Generación 73 Garnacha 2020

€18.75
Description
A deliciously different limited edition wine bestowed with the image of Paula Yago Aznar who runs the winery Tempore alongside her brother Víctor.
On the organically certified vineyards of Finca Masatrigos in Lécera, Bajo Aragón at an altitude of 550 m, pure Garnacha is grown for the Generación 73 on lime and sandstone soil rich in nutrients which contribute to the earthy, minerally suggestive characteristics of the finished wines.
With a brilliantly lively red and purple colour, rich high intensity aromas of blackberries, vanilla and sweet caramel and floral notes such as violet and jasmine, this full-bodied wine has a fruity ripe berry beginning giving way to the hints of sweet caramel and a light taste of the toasted oak.

The Yago Aznar family belong to this region of Lécera in Aragón, attuned to the extreme climate and tough landscape with a shared passion for wine-making spanning four generations of viticulturists. Today the 70 hectare estate is run by siblings Paula and Víctor Yago Aznar and their organically certified operation is predicated on the principle of 'Tempore' or time, or more precisely 'seedtime', leaving the vines to express themselves free of intervention and with the utmost respect for the land.
Here they cultivate exclusively autochthonous varieties of the region, Garnacha, Tempranillo, Macabeo and white Garnacha grapes, with 70+ year old traditional Garnacha bush vines coexisting with younger fully trellised vineyards. The entire estate is organic with a new state of the art winery built in 2002.
