Gorgeously supple and textured Pinot Grigio from Australia’s Limestone Coast.
The lead into the 2018 vintage was very wet in this part of South Australia, which delayed flowering and pushed the entire ripening period much later than usual, the cooler conditions greatly suiting varieties like Pinot Gris.
Harvested in the cool of night, four hours on skins and gentle basket pressing created a subtle blush hue to the wine, as well as giving some weight to the palate. White stone fruit and fresh pears give texture, balanced by a racy lemon tart finish, with custard and green apples on the mid-palate giving nice depth.
