Dense and dark purple in colour, with fresh crunchy dark fruit on the nose and supported by subtler secondary notes of cedar and sandalwood, the palate opens to punchy cherry, blackcurrant and some deep velvet plum which lends a restrained edge to the wine. Full bodied and lengthy on the finish with just a hint of that classic perfume to provide a clue at the variety, this big Barossa Cab is deep, strapping and controlled.
A great match for roast beef and braised ribs.
