Warm lemon and green-tinged with fragrant notes of citrus, pear and stone fruit and some delicate glimpses of floral blossom perfume. Hints of nuttiness and spice accompany gentle flavours of nectarine, white peaches and nougat on the palate and the profile is softened and accentuated by extending lees stirring. From the Schild family’s finest parcel of Chardonnay in the Moorooroo Vineyard near Rowland Flat in the Barossa Valley, this is a silky, decadent white reminiscent of a Meursault.
Would accompany full and rich creamy meat dishes, and is fabulous with turkey (we’ve done it).
