Savian Organic Prosecco Spumante Extra Dry

Deliciously dry Prosecco Spumante from the organically farmed Savian family estate.

From organic Glera grapes, this is pale straw in colour, the bright nose alive with a medley of sunny tropical fruit and earthy appley notes of the variety, hints of herbs and crusty bread adding an extra savoury dimension. Fresh and lively on the palate, there’s those apple notes again with hints of peach, melon and lemon sherbert, with persistent, fine bubbles and a clean, dewy finish.

Delicious party or celebratory wine and goes well with canapés and antipasti.

  • Crisp, refreshing, dry
  • 750ml
  • 11% Alcohol

Producer: Savian

Savian is a third generation family winery founded by Marco Savian in 1925, after being granted a small holding of four hectares for his service in the First World War. Marco built a house and tended the tough, arid and clayey soils by hand, planting vineyards in a previously desolate land, once known as Bandita after the bandits and brigands that roamed the nearby oak forests.

The modern winery and extended 42 hectare estate is situated between two rivers where the provinces of Venice, Pordenone and Treviso meet, taking in the Lison Pramaggiore and Venice DOCs. Pinot Grigio, Lison Classico and Chardonnay do well here, along with Merlot, Refosco and Cabernet Franc. Ahead of current trends, the Savian family converted all vineyards to organic farming in 1993, and in 2007 installed a solar farm to produce their own sustainable energy to help power the winery.
