Description
The 17th century vaulted cellar of the Castle of the Cave du Château de Chénas has housed its wines since 1934 and produces appellation wines such as Moulin à Vent, Chénas, Fleurie, Juliénas, Brouilly, Morgon, Beaujolais-Villages and Beaujolais Blanc.
The Saint-Amour ‘Holy heart’ is 100% Black Gamay, made in the traditional Beaujolais style by semi-carbonic vinification then aged in stainless steel tanks to keep the fresh fruit flavours. This wine has an elegantly floral nose with wild strawberry notes, fresh ripe and round red fruit and mineral undertones with velvety tannins on the finish. Long lived yet lively, this wine would accompany Lyonnais sausage or roasted poultry.
