SaleThe old vineyards for Mont Rocher are perched high in the dramatic hills and terraces above the Vallée d’Agly, in the eastern Pyrenees, with a unique character of their own. Famed black schist is interspersed with pockets of limestone from the higher slopes, combining richness and power with a fresher, more finely defined character.
Deeply ruby coloured with a purple tinge, there are abundant plum, blackberries and cherries on the nose with a hint of pepper and violet. The palate is equally appealing, bursting with refreshing red fruit, notes of cassis and leather and with a pleasingly silky mouthfeel. Perfectly balanced tannins and medium levels of acidity round out the soft black and plum fruits leading to a smooth and succulent finish.
