Description

Smooth and easy-drinking blend of Grenache and Syrah from terraced vineyards around around the town of Bourg Saint Andéol.

The soils are composed of steep and porous pebbles and under the influence of a cool, dry climate blown by the mistral. In wine-making terms, this moderates the heat and sugar levels in the grapes, keeping the wine produced light and fresh.

Light to medium bodied and garnet in appearance, the nose is a lovely mix of red fruit, floral and savoury elements, the palate rich and smooth with tangy redcurrant, leather and vanilla spice. This is seriously easy drinking and pairs beautifully with something like slow-roasted pork or ribs.
