Treixadura is a Portuguese white grape, grown in the Vinho Verde region of north-east Portugal and here, in Galicia in north-west Spain.
This is just gorgeous. Fresh and fruity with a beautifully weighted palate, displaying hints of stone fruit, melon, pink grapefruit and intriguing herbal characters, soft and fleshy on the finish with moderate acidity, some minerality and good length.
Ribeiro is a tiny but ancient wine region in Galicia in the north west of Spain, inland from the more famous Rias Baixas but benefitting historically from the same Atlantic coastal climate and valuable commercial sea ports. White wine represents about 95% of production with Treixadura the most popular grape.
