‘Les Tuileries’ is a 100% Sauvignon Blanc from a small vineyard along the northern hillside of the Loire river, north of Pouilly and east of Sancerre. Vines are around 40 years old and the wine is matured on the lees for 6 to 9 months before bottling, contributing factors in the depth, fine texture and elegance of this wine.
Light gold with green reflections, the nose is an elegant mix of green fruit, citrus and floral aromas, the palate ripe and fleshy with flavours of quince, pear and melon, finishing crisp and dry with a fine minerality. Serve up with fish or white meats with creamy sauces.
Coteaux du Giennois is a small appellation of less than 200 hectares, situated north-east of Sancerre on the banks of the river Loire. The limestone soil is characteristically flinty, producing crisp, fruity, minerally white wines, and light, elegant, fruity reds.
