From privileged vineyard sites around the village of Saint Seurin de Cadourne, on a total area of a tiny 4 hectares, this wine’s composition is 65% Merlot and 35% Cabernet Sauvignon from vines with an average age of 30 years, planted on clay and gravel soils.
Controlled yields of production and 12 months oak vat ageing have given the wine finesse, ample concentration and complexity. On the nose, the wine is particularly elegant and develops beautiful aromas of red fruits. On the palate, the wine is fruity with elements of tobacco and leather and still shows a nice acidity while tannins are discreet and fine.
