100% natural Merlot rosé, free from sulphites and any other intervention.
From the Château Ferreyres vineyards, Merlot grapes are manually sorted before undergoing a two stage fermentation at different temperatures, followed by maturation on the lees at a low temperature for a further 8 weeks. Particular attention is paid to protecting to wine against oxygenation, eliminating the need for the addition of sulphur.
This presents beautifully, a pale powder pink with attractive notes of strawberry, cranberry and rose petals on the nose. Fresh and fruity from the off, there’s a burst of sweet berry fruit, quickly balanced by a crisp acidity and a fine minerally texture from the lees ageing, clean and round on the finish with more nuanced tropical fruit and floral notes.
