Description
Grignan-les-Adhémar extends south of Montélimar, on the left bank of the Rhône in the south-east Ardèche. These vineyards nestle among fields of lavender, thyme and old truffle lands, the lands awash with aromas and sunshine.
This classic Rhône blend of Syrah and Grenache is ruby-garnet in colour and light to medium bodied. A summer fruit bowl of red berries, plum and rhubarb hit you first on the nose, with delicate savoury elements, leather and vanilla in the background. The palate is smooth and savoury, those fruity berry characters toned by a fine tannic and acid structure, with a mouthwatering finish that reveals delicate spice and floral characters.
A lovely easy-drinking dry red that is fine on its own but pairs beautifully with roasted meats, particularly chicken, pork and light game.
