Reminiscent of a South Australian Shiraz, this Cape version is aged in a mix of French and American oak barrels for 12 months. Medium to full-bodied with opulent blackcurrant and blackberries to the fore, there’s wonderful secondary aromatics with subtle toast and cinnamon oak overlays in addition to vanilla spice and wood smoke.
Serve on it’s own, decanted, or with smoked meats and cheeses.
