The Reserve Mount Arthur Pinot Noir is crafted from premium grapes gathered from two selected vineyards in the Nelson region of New Zealand. Initial fermentation is carried out in open fermenters with hand plunging for 4 weeks then concluded with 100% French oak barrel maturation over the following 13 months.
Dark garnet red coloured with good depth; an elegant and fruit driven nose with a bouquet of red fruit and spice leads to a full ripe palate of rich berry fruits with soft tannins. Beautifully balanced with great texture, complex layers of black pepper, cinnamon and red cherry commands a concentrated, unfiltered, full flavour finish.
An ideal match for honey braised duck or spring lamb.
