Kahurangi Estate is a family owned boutique vineyard and winery dedicated to producing hand-made quality wines in a truly sustainable manner. The Mount Arthur label signals their premium “Reserve” range of wines which stand out for their superior quality and structure. This wine, their flagship Chardonnay is made from perfectly ripe grapes grown on three selected vineyards in the Nelson region. Maturation is by 100% barrel fermentation for over 11 months in a mix of new French and American oak barriques.
Aromas of fresh white peach and light cream toffee, layered with notes of vanilla and nutmeg is followed by a palate filled to the brim with vibrant fruit and oak. Good integration and nicely balanced acidity conclude the profile of this memorable wine.
A perfect match with lobster, crayfish, scallops and prawns or simply enjoy on its own slightly chilled.
