The Riesling grapes for this Autumn harvest were handpicked 11 weeks later than the harvest for the dry white wines. The additional hanging time accompanied by a natural botrytis infection have provided this wine with luscious sweetness and lingering intensity.
Bright gold in colour, the nose offers beautifully attractive aromas of ripe nectarines, honey, passionfruit, crab apple and orange peel, with a typical Riesling hint of musk in the background. The palate is piquant and zesty on the open, with a racy acidity giving way to concentrated dried stone fruit flavours, honey and sweet lime, sweet and tangy, with a long, clean, gently unwinding finish.
Serve up with Eton mess or a creamy blue cheese.
