Tuscan blend of Merlot, Sangiovese and Petit Verdot matured for six months in French oak barrels.
Ruby red with violet reflections, the nose is a boistrous medley of plum, cherries, tobacco and peppery spice, hints of vanilla and nut showing off some wood influence. This is beautifully structured, prominent red fruit flavours framed by deft tannins and a cleansing acidity, cranberry and sour cherry balancing sweet raspberry, with herbal, nut and delicate spice notes on the finish. Really tasty, easy-drinking stuff, with good complexity, structure and balance.
Great with characuterie or mature cheeses but equally at home with good pizza and simple pasta dishes.
