Description

Classic Monty with a permitted dash of Sangiovese (about 15%) to add some extra oomph.

From the hills of Abruzzo on Italy’s Adriatic coast, this is steel fermented, no oak involvement, for purity of fruit expression.
Lively and juicy with sweet notes of black plum and morello cherries, with hints of violets, leather and spice, a quenching acidity and savoury tannins providing balance and a dry finish.

Serve up on its on as an easy-drinking crowd-pleaser or with pizza or antipasti.

Folonari is a range of wines from the Veneto region of north-east Italy, founded in 1825 by Francesco Folonari, a shop keeper from Edolo, near Milan. Francesco started sourcing parcels of wine for his shop customers, trying to provide the best quality possible at a low price. Word got out, demand grew and the Folonari winery was born. Today winemaker Marco Galeazzo carries the legacy and mission of Folonari, to continue delivering classic Italian varietals at an everyday price point.
