1963 was the year France entered the feline space race via a cat named Félicette and she is now immortalised by a wine that pays homage to those that think outside the box. Produced in the South-West of France, between Narbonne and Beziers, the range includes an elegant supple, succulent and aromatic Grenache Rouge, and crisp, minerally Grenache Blanc. Both have been carefully crafted to be subtle, sassy and food friendly.
Félicette rouge is a bright red colour with purplish reflections and a powerful nose of violets and red fruits. Medium-bodied, with soft and juicy raspberry and plum flavours we hate to let the cat out of the bag (or the space rocket!) but this this is a very well-balanced blend, perfect with food or on its own and a great example of modern French wine making.
