This Tempranillo is grown in certified organic vineyards in Entrena, near Rioja capital Logroño, at 500m altitude. It’s matured exclusively in new American oak barrels for 12 months for a big oak impression, with a further 6 months in bottle prior to release.
Garnet-red in colour with a nice depth, a heady cocktail of red fruit and spicy, woody aromas leaps from the glass, dark cherries and wild strawberries intermingling with vanilla, tobacco leaf, leather and toasted hazelnut. The palate is ripe and rich, fresh fruit notes supported by firm tannins and piquant acidity, with savoury earthy notes of cedar, soy and roasted coffee beans on a long, smooth finish.
