Diário da Quinta Rosé 2022

14.75

Description

We love this sassy rosé from the Garrocha family vineyards just outside Lisbon.

It’s a blend of Touriga Franca and Touriga Nacional, dry grown and dry fermented too, a lovely pale salmon pink with aromas of red apple, strawberries and cherries. The palate is deliciously crisp and refreshing, with an elegant balance of fruits and dry on the finish.

Delicious as an aperitif or serve with prawn dishes and Asian cuisine.

Diário da Quinta literally means “dairy farm” in Portuguese, this range designed for everyday drinking on their own or with simple foods. We think they’re just great value and a real taste of Portugal.

Producer: Garrocha Family Vineyards

Garrocha family vineyards and winery were established in 1945 by Francisco Caetano Macieira, the man behind the famous moustache that adorns one of the winery's signature wines today. Current owner and winemaker is also Francisco Maciera, the founder's great grandson and the fourth generation to produce wines from the three family estates just outside Lisbon. All grapes come from the family's vineyards with Portuguese varietals such as Touriga Nacional, Sousão and Maria Gomes planted alongside international varietals like Cabernet Sauvignon, Tempranillo (Tinta Roriz) and Sauvignon Blanc.
