60% organically grown Sémillon with 20% each Clairette and Rolle (or Vermentino as it’s better known outside Provence), Diane Blanc is pale yellow-green in colour with a subtle, nuanced nose showing grapefruit, white flowers and honeysuckle. Fresh and citrussy on the open giving way to a soft, elegant mid-palate, this has real fine white qualities, lithe and minerally with an underlying complexity — there’s floral, stone fruit, spice and herbal characters hidden beneath — finishing bone-dry and with a clean, zippy finish.
Try this with pan-fried scallops or roast cod for a real taste of the Côte d’Azur.
