Last orders for pre-Christmas delivery is 1pm Thursday 19th December
It’s our biggest selling box of the year and our annual showcase of seasonal blockbusters, customer favourites and new finds.
This year’s Curious Christmas Mix includes French perennials Rhône and Burgundy, heavy hitters from Australia, New Zealand and Argentina, premium Prosecco and organic wines from Spain.
The case is headlined by the Domaine de la Verde Òra, a 92-point iron fist in velvet glove GSM from Châteauneuf neighbour Vacqueyras, and the wine owner Nicolas Camallonga describes as the “quintessence” of his vineyard (and we describe as the quintessence of Christmas indulgence). Alongside on the ‘big reds’ front, we’ve Elysian Springs’ Adelaide Hills Syrah, Mosquita Muerta’s “sheep in wolf’s clothing” Mendoza Malbec and our wine of the year, the organic Cepa 50 Monastrell from Alicante, plus silky Côte Chalonnaise Pinot Noir for the turkey and our go-to party red, Campo Flores Organic Tempranillo-Syrah.
On the whites, we’ve the tres classé Buissonnier Côte Chalonnaise Chardonnay from Burgundy (a heavenly match with smoked salmon), the Kahurangi Estate Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand’s Nelson region, buttery Aussie Pinot Gris, Prosecco Valdobbiadene (that’s the good stuff) and two Spanish Verdejo, the new Castillo de la Mota and the organic Campo Flores.
Normal price combined €189.89, Christmas case price only €150 (save €39.89).
