Organically-farmed Collefrisio, the project of third-generation winemakers Amedeo De Luca and Antonio Patricelli, is located in the hills of Frisa, Chieti province.
This Montepulciano is fermented and matured in temperature-controlled steel tanks, with no oak influence.
Seductively dark, weighty, with supple acidity, rich tannins and creamy flavours of dates, black plum, smoke and leather, with flickers of sloe, cocoa and vanilla — a real stunner. Super on its own or with burgers, BBQ food, cheese or any red meat — versatile stuff!
