Château La Rose Mayat Puisseguin-St-Emilion 2011

Out of stock

The palate is smooth, almost creamy, with red berries and soft spices in perfect harmony, and a long, longering finish. 85% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Franc, La Rose Mayat is fresh, round and elegant, with aromas of red fruits and earthy elements dominating. Drink young after decanting or put down for up to ten years from vintage.

This is proper petit-chateau stuff. The 7 acres of Château La Rose Mayat are tended almost exclusively by proprietor Frédéric Dufour, who took control of winemaking duties in 1998. Grapes are harvested by hand and aged in cement – no oak is used or required to get the best from this vineyard.
