In the Ludon-Médoc region of Bordeaux, Château Tour de Gilet lies on the foundations of a former 12th century abbey where small streams, called jalles, criss-cross the vineyards, draining the soil and helping to improve the quality of the grapes.
This rich and vibrant 70% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon is vinified traditionally in stainless steel vats with temperature control to preserve the aroma of the fruits and aged for a further 18 months in stainless steel tanks. It has harmonious flavours of blackcurrant and black cherries and is smooth, elegant and very drinkable, pairing brilliantly with grilled lamb, steak or meaty pasta dishes.
