A lovely everyday Claret, ripe and fruit with classically crisp, dry tannins. Steel fermented and aged – there’s no oak at all here – this is all about fresh fruit flavours and a crisp, clean structure. There’s a lovely mix of sweet red cherry, juicy black plum and drying cranberry, with hints of cedar and smokey, meaty complexes – the perfect bistro Bordeaux.
The 2016 is a 50/50 blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot from 25 year old vines. This is a wine to be enjoyed young, smooth and approachable from release, ideally within 3 years of the vintage.
