Pale gold in colour when young, the nose is led by citrus, melon and pear with hints of butterscotch, honeysuckle, candied lemon and even a wisp of menthol. The palate is supple and minerally and is a masterful accompaniment to fish dishes.
Aged exclusively in large oak vats, this is a rich and full-bodied white that will develop further complexity for up to 8 years from vintage if properly stored. Allow the wine to come up a little in temperature from the fridge, ideally 10-12 degrees, to fully appreciate the depth and complexity of this fine white.
Lovely with all poultry.
