The vineyards for this Mâcon lie mainly on the two mountain sides of the Grosne river valley, on calcareous soils with a high limestone content that Chardonnay just loves. The grapes are cold-fermented and aged exclusively in stainless steel (no oak at all here) to preserve freshness and fruit flavour, and ensuring a crisp, refreshing style.
Pale gold in colour, the aromas range from citrus and green apple to floral notes of acacia, honeysuckle and rose. It is supple, dry and fruity; a full-flavoured wine with a clean, refreshing finish, to be enjoyed young.
