Gavi di Gavi, as distinct from straight Gavi, is the higher classification of this famous Italian white, identifying grapes grown within the small commune of Gavi itself.
Gavi di Gavi should be defined by its elegance and this is a fine example. Gentle aromas of melon, citrus and floral notes, the palate is layered and minerally with a tingly citrus freshness and hints of honeydew melon, green apple and summery fresh hay.
Super aperitif or accompaniment to pasta in truffle butter with parmesan.
