Deliciously crisp, fresh and floral Malvasia (pronounced mal-vah-see-ah) from Italy’s renowned Friuli wine region.
This gets gentle pressing after harvest, cool fermentation and then a few months on the yeasts for extra body and flavour. Straw yellow in colour with greenish hues, ripe autumn fruits combine with floral and herbal elements on the nose, baked pear crumble with hints of sage and laurel. Crisp and fresh on the open with a gorgeously soft minerality, finishing dry with lingering afternotes of citrus peel and almond.
Serve up with risotto and asparagus, it’s truly divine.
