Classic Langhorne Creek blend of Shiraz and Cabernet matured for 12 months in French oak puncheons.
Blended from some of the best parcels of Shiraz and Cabernet from the 2018 harvest, this wine shows an abundance of black fruits — blackberry, blackcurrant and plum — with a well balanced, medium-bodied palate, rich in tannins and oak spice.
Serve up with Beef Wellington of course!
Racked before bottling without filtration, it is normal for some sediment to form. Decanting one hour prior to drinking is recommended.
While shiraz sits at 52%, cabernet initially struts its stuff more assertively with cassis, blackberry essence and mint-choc flavours. Medium-bodied and even across the palate thanks largely to its fine tannins. 95 pts.
