SaleFrom this family domaine’s oldest vines (70 years on average), this is a rich and powerful Châteauneuf du Pape comprising all 13 permitted grape varieties. Harvesting is carried out by hand, with individual plots vinified together to form a series of traditional field blends, which are then put into large or small, new or used oak barrels depending on the plots they hail from. Final blending takes place after 18 months with the wine going into bottle for a further two years prior to release.
This decadent wine displays a strong ruby red hue with a powerful and extremely complex nose of fine spices, fruit, black olives and garrigue scrubland. Rich, smooth and concentrated on the palate, with nice polished tannins and exceptional length packed with spice and black fruit.
Should be decanted at least one hour before serving and can be laid down for up to 15 years from vintage.
Presented in wooden gift box.
