Bodega ViñaGuareña is an 80 hectare estate, with just a quarter of that planted to vines, in a privileged valley location near the Guareña river, a tributary of the Douro, in the Toro wine region. It’s all about the indigenous Tinta de Toro here, Toro’s unique strain of Tempranillo, with over 90% of vineyards planted to it, some over a century old.
Munia are a range of three 100% Tinta de Toro wines grown exclusively within the ViñaGuareña estate, blended from distinct vineyard selections and aged for different periods in French and American oak casks. The wines are characterised by their powerful structure, wonderful fruit purity and varietal expression, incorporating finely integrated oak to end up with wines of impressive balance and elegance.
