Mauro von Siebenthal was a Swiss lawyer until, in 1998, he had an epiphany while visiting friends in Chile’s Aconcagua Valley. Falling in love with the region and spotting the opportunity to buy a small bodega, Mauro set about establishing his first vineyard, the 30 acre Parcela #7, with Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc.
By 2009, Mauro had given up life as a lawyer, fully relocated to Chile, and established Viña von Siebenthal with the building of a new state of the art winery. The boutique estate specialises in small production Bordeaux red blends, planting and blending according to the unique soil types within the four main vineyards currently owned.
