Circa 1788 Pinot Grigio €11.49 or €9.99 for 2+
Unpretentious, straightforward wine with simple fruity flavours of yellow apple, dessert pear and alpine flowers. The soft, pulpy palate mirrors the aromatics, but with a hint of musky papaya too. Mellow, nonchalant style that soothes the palate. Perfect for drinking on its own but goes well with creamy pasta dishes or fish.
Circa 1788 Shiraz-Viognier €11.49 or €9.99 for 2+
A deep magenta-coloured red, displaying appealing flavours of raspberry compote, ganache and violets, leavened with flashes of coffee and sweet spice. Quite full in body, with a lush, viscous texture, sweet tannins and a rich, moreish finish. Lovely! Good to drink on its own or try with sticky jerk wings with sugared oranges.
Little Eden Pinot Noir 2012 €13.99
Deep garnet, with an open nose of black cherry and boysenberry, with nuances of vanilla and coffee revealed on swirling. The midweight, round palate displays ample fruity charms, vivacity, a dusty tannic structure and admirable length. Lovely! Gorgeous to drink on its own but makes a fine match too for baked ham or salmon.
