Rich ruby-red colour, with an articulate bouquet of cherry pie, cinnamon and crushed violets. Full and velvety on the palate, the tannins are silky soft and the flavours redolent of ripe blackberry, plum jam and coffee cake. Beautiful effort. Gorgeous to drink on its own and brilliant, too, with any grilled foods or strong cheddar.
