
“WE’VE ONLY EVER carried a small number of organic wines as there never seemed to be huge demand for them, from our customers anyway. Actually, the reaction was often negative if you were to bring up the topic of organic wine, with ‘I only care if it tastes nice’ and ‘I don’t want to pay extra just because it says organic on the label’ being two common themes. (In fact organic wines do tend to be a bit more expensive than their conventional peers, because yields are invariably lower and costs higher – but no one’s milking it.)
But something seems to have changed in the past year or two…”
