The Ned Sauvignon Blanc 2013

Marlborough, New Zealand

Buy Now:

Pale straw hue with attractive olive flashes. Vibrant aromas of lemongrass, fresh cut herbs and passionfruit. An exhilarating combination of lifted tropical fruit and crisp, green apple, all threaded beautifully by a pristine, mineral acidity.

Enjoy with Asian food or shellfish in a herby butter, or as a stimulating aperitif.

Winemaker Brent Marris, whose father John was one of the first pioneers to sink vines into the Marlborough soil, runs The Ned with his wife. The wine is part of the Marisco stable, a recent winner of New Zealand Winery of the Year with the IWSC.

Marlborough is New Zealand's most important region. Its famously-unique Sauvignon Blanc dominates production, though other cool-climate grapes like Riesling, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir are important too.
