A medium bodied, everyday drinking red with aromas of red berry and damson fruit. Fresh and lively on the palate with ripe berry fruit balanced by tangy acidity and quite firm tannins leading to a warm, spicy finish.
Ideal with simple pasta tossed in butter and Parmesan or with tomato based sauces.
Produced from Sangiovese grapes grown on hillside vineyards near the town of Solopaca in the Beneventano region of Campania, northeast of Naples. After malolactic fermentation the wine was matured for six months in large Slovenian oak casks before bottling.
