An 80/20 blend from a 7 acre vineyard of gnarled, 65-year-old Sémillon and Sauvignon Blanc vines. Just 1400 cases were made of this aromatic, dry white wine of depth and complexity.
Fermented and aged in new and one-year-old French oak barrels, the wine is aromatic, long and complex, with an almost Burgundian aspect to it.
Best with chicken or fish dishes, or summer salads.
Winner of Best White Wine in the Graped Crusader Wine Awards 2011. 'It's a supremely classy wine which is a bargain to boot.'
"Oz Clarke is a fan and it's served in Rick Stein's restaurants too. This is one of the best white wines I've had this year." Richard Saxton
"Excellent, I thought the bâtonnage idea of stirring the lees instead of oak was very smart." Oz Clarke
