Rich and supple, with ripe flavours of spiced plum jam, fruitcake and toffee. Luscious mouthfeel, with smooth tannins and a long, moreish finish. Really lovely!

Brilliant for drinking on its own or with juicy burgers or spare ribs.

This wine is made from 97% Merlot, with the balance coming from Rubired and Grenache. The grapes were harvested mostly from warm vineyards in California's parched interior, in particular the San Joaquin Valley. Grapes were machine-picked at perfect ripeness and vinified to produce an exceptionally smooth and easy drinking style of wine, meant for early consumption.

Ninety per cent of American wine is produced in the state of California which, if it were a country, would be the world's fourth-largest producer. In general, the premium wines are made in the cooler, northern coastal areas, while the inland and southern areas specialise in in more commercial styles.
